- Joseph Kahn is a holocaust survivor who was born in Bedzin, Poland. He was 17 when the German's occupied the town in September of 1939. He, unlike the members of his family, survived Auschwitz, Gross-Rosen, Blechhammer, Annaburg, Dachau and the death march of 1945. He was liberated on 29 April 1945 and spent three years recovering from the physical affects of the concentration camps.
