Description: This series (3 folders) consists of letters and V-mails from Aubrey Rion to his wife, Janette Rion. The beginning of the series consists of love letters Aubrey sent while he was courting Jenette (nee Stevenson) while attending Clemson College. His war era letters detail the rigors of infantry training at Camp Wolters, Texas, as well as life in the European Theater of Operations.;Personal correspondence, photographs, and personnel file from the service of First Lieutenant Aubrey Rion, who served with the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment and was killed in action in Bastogne, Belgium.
