Description: Bild 33: Kampfflugzeuge, Pict.33: Bombers. Bombers are the means by which those large offensive operations of the air arms that are designed to weaken the defensive and armament centers of the enemy country are carried out. They are able to join in the fighting of the army and navy to destructive effect. They conduct the hostilities with the enemy aerial armed forces. Bombs, machine guns and canons are their weapons. As varied as the missions of the bombers, so also is the diversity of their size, performance, load capacity, crew and armament.
