Summary:
Description: Bild 14: Fliegerbekampfung durch leichtes Maschinengewehr, Pict 14: Engaging Aircraft with a Light Machine Gun. Heavy and light machine guns may also be used to engage aircraft flying at not higher than 1,000 meters. An anti-aircraft range finder is used to target the aircraft. Firing is done generally from a tripod. In view of the danger of air attacks, machine guns are deployed at all times for troops on the march, in combat and at rest. Ground observers use good camouflage to avoid observation and protect against surprise.
