Summary:
Cornelius Mills served in the Army as a switchboard operator assigned to the US Army Signal Corp Headquarters in India. After the war, Cornelius remained in India and was responsible for closing out the base and shipping the communication equipment home. When that job was done, Mills returned to the United States and was discharged from the Army in 1946 with the rank of staff sergeant.
