- Peter Bourgeois was born October 11, 1924 in Houma, Louisiana. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1942 and served with the 96th Infantry Division until 1946 as a Medic. He saw combat in the Philippines and on Okinawa. At the conclusion of the war he returned to Houma, Louisiana.
