- Henry "Hank" Culbert earned a B.S. in chemistry from Univ of Alabama in 1937. He worked as a chemist at DuPont before being recruited to work at Oak Ridge, TN. He worked in K-25 for 41 years, 3 months and 2 days until he retired. He worked with Depleted Uranium Hexafluoride (UF6) at the Oak Ridge plant and help to set up a lab in the cascade building to take fluoride samples and most of his work went toward the "Thin Man" bomb effort. His work was top secret and it took many years before he could or would talk about it. Also, he met his wife while working with her at Oak Ridge.
