Description: This series consists of five newspaper clippings and six documents regarding the service of Sergeant Stuyvesant Van Veen. Three of the clippings are write-ups on Van Veen’s mural, "The Bridge of Wings." The documents include a detailed label for "The Bridge of Wings," a plan for the future Art Director of the Cincinnati Ordnance District, and a typed copy of the editorial letter entitled "An Outrageous USES Plan.";Military correspondence, documents, photographs, drawings, and newspaper clippings from the service of Sergeant Stuyvesant Van Veen, who was a mechanical draftsman for Engineer Control of Engineer at Wright Field, Ohio. The collection is arranged into three series: I. Military correspondence and documents, January 1942-October 1945; II. Photographs and artwork, 1943-1945; and III. Miscellaneous.
