Description: Letter from Mrs. Floris Lacek, Plainfield, New Jersey, to Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Oglesby, Shreveport, Louisiana. Floris writes that she heard of Willard's death; extends her sympathy. "that is the first time a person so close to us has been killed in this dreadful war." Remembered Willard as a little boy. Heard that they were planning to move to Minden to go into the grocery business; thinks the move will help them. Glad Willard had a girlfriend and chance to fall in love before he died.
