Description: Portrait of Mary Victoria Mills Weinmann in Coast Guard uniform. Summer uniform worn by Lieutenant Mary Victoria Mills Weinmann, USCG Port Volunteer Security Force during World War II. New Orleans was one of several cities where the USCG established Port Volunteer Security Forces. Lt. Weinmann was a commissioned USCG officer in the PVSF unit that tracked ships and airplanes in the New Orleans area.
