Description: This series consists of eight pieces of personal correspondence, four photographs, and a postcard from the service of Private First Class Joseph Blackburn. The personal correspondence consists of four V-mails and four letters sent to his parents, William and Sophia Blackburn, or his sister, Muriel Blackburn. The photographs include a 1944 military portrait and a PFC Blackburn at Iwo Jima, Japan. The postcard is likely from Iwo Jima.
