Description: This series (1 folder) consists of photographs from the service of Dean Schuneman. The bulk of the series is made up of photographs from Schuneman’s time in France, Germany, and Austria. Most of the photographs are of Schuneman and friends posing at camps or newly liberated cities. There are four photographs of Dachau concentration camp; one of the photographs features a member of the 45th Infantry Division. Also included are photographs from when Schuneman was training in Texas as well as photographs of his wife, mother, and stepfather.;Personal correspondence, military documents, souvenirs, and photographs from the service of Sergeant Dean Schuneman, who served with the 411th Infantry Regiment, 103rd Infantry Division, Seventh Army in the European Theater of Operations. The collection is arranged into four series: I. Personal correspondence, 1943-1946; II. Military documents and correspondence, 1943-1945; III. Souvenirs, 1941-1946; and IV. Photographs, 1923-1945.
