The majority of the newspaper clippings are about Earle Smith’s service, including when he received his wings and a brief summary of his service. The Newspapers are the Niagara Falls Gazette and the Chicago Overseas Tribune. The Gazette is the Victory Edition from 7 May 1945 and the Tribune was printed in Manila on 23 June 1945.
