Description: This series consists of six documents relating to the service of Staff Sergeant Lynn Rose. The bulk of the collection is made of military or government correspondence; however, there is one newspaper clipping. The other documents are Rose’s selective service card, the telegram informing Rose’s parents that he is missing in action, and National Service Life Insurances certificates.;Personal correspondence, photographs, military documents, and government documents from the service of Staff Sergeant Lynn Rose, who was killed in action while serving as a gunner on the B-26 "Draggin Lady" with the 599th Bombardment Squadron, 397th Bombardment Group (M) in the European Theater of Operations. The collection is arranged into five series: I. Personal correspondence from Lynn Rose Jr., December 1942-December 1943; II. Personal correspondence from Lynn Rose Jr., January 1944-November 1944; III. Photographs; IV. Military and government documents, 1942-1945; V. Personal correspondence from Miss Lena Nichols, February 1943.
