Description: This series consists of seven pieces of personal correspondence, four pieces of military correspondence, and 10 documents from the service of Lynn Lauret. The five letters along with the telegram were sent by Lauret to his family and friends while he was stationed in Texas and England. Also included is an empty envelope addressed to Johansen E. in England. The military documents are in regard to Lauret’s training and being awarded the Air Medal and Oak Leaf Cluster. The documents consist of Lauret’s Social Security card, military medical records, a unit roster, and a complaint card, and notes.;Personal correspondence, military correspondence, government correspondence, newspaper clippings, and photographs from the service of Staff Sergeant Lynn Lauret, who was killed in action over Manheim, Germany, while assigned to the 532nd Bombardment Squadron, 381st Bombardment Group, 8th Air Force. The collection is arranged into four series: I. Personal and correspondence and documents, October 1943-December 1944; II. Documents regarding the death of Lynn Lauret, January 1943-June 1955; III.
