- Description: This series consists of four letters and one V-mail from Private First Class Marlin Kemper, multiple locations, to his brother, Mr. Kenneth Kemper, Presque Isle, Maine. At the beginning of 1944, PFC Kemper is stationed at Camp Breck, Kentucky. In April 1944, PFC Kemper was deployed to the European Theater of Operations. In his letter written on 22 October 1944, PFC Kemper is in a hospital in England due to an eye infection. In the letter he also indicates that he was previously injured by enemy fire. Locations include: Orleans, France; 4176 Hospital Plant, Blackmore Park, England; and Bra, Belgium.
