Summary:
Description: Letter from Walter C. Meyer, USS Swift, to Orient Daley, New Orleans, Louisiana. Walter hasn't received a letter recently from Orient, but mail service has been slow. Waiting to get photo prints from a Miami photographer; when they arrive he'll send her one. Doesn't have to stand watch too often; finds the island they're on "miserable": "There is nothing there but clay and tree stumps and a few softball fields." Even if she doesn't hear from him, he still wants her to write. Getting tired of the heat. Wants her to send a photo.
