Description: Letter from Walter C. Meyer, Norfolk, Virginia, to Orient Daley, New Orleans, Louisiana. Meyer doesn't want to complain; has enjoyed his three years aboard ship. Got in a skirmish with the shore patrol and had to get stitches in his chin. Then he was transferred to service on the USS Swift. Serves as a senior radioman. Took some photos; if they turn out, he'll send her one. The next day he is on watch. The following day he writes that they are preparing for a long trip.
