Description: Private James R. Maloy, California, to Mrs. Stevenson, El Paso, Texas. Maloy has enclosed the insignia of the 97th Division and gives Stevenson a short history of the division, which she requested. Mentions the Division's training at Camp Swift, maneuvers in Louisiana, Fort Leonard Wood, Camp San Luis Obispo, and finally Camp Cooke. Explains that the Division is now called the Trident Division, hence the trident on the insignia. Directly correlates to Stevenson's notebook (2002.169.003).
