Description: Private Rufus Baker Austin, Honolulu, Hawaii, to Mrs. Mack Austin, Jackson, Mississippi. Austin apologizes for waiting so long to write, and informs her that the trip to his new post took eight days. He mentions that Sam stayed in San Diego, and that he may come along in another two weeks. Austin tells his mother not to worry, and asks her to tell Hal and his father to write more often. Includes his new address on inside of letter.
