Description: This series consists of 76 envelopes featuring illustrations by Private Joseph Blackburn. All of the envelopes were sent when Pvt. Blackburn was at Camp Lejeune, New River, North Carolina. The recipients were his parents, William and Sophia Blackburn, in Berlin, Connecticut, and sister, Muriel Blackburn, at Teachers College, New Britain, Connecticut.
