Summary:
Description: Letter sent from Lt. Dewey, APO 8857, to Denny Daley, New Orleans, Louisiana. Dewey writes that he is leaning against the wardrobe and the ship is rolling. Weather is cold. Not much to do besides eat, read, and sleep; he eschews the poker games. Large portion of the letter censored. Evenings are long; he sits and wonders what Orient is up to. Lots of disagreement between him and the other eight officers; some want the lights on late, others want them off; some want to talk, others want quiet. Saw a USO show the night before; saw an "excellent mimic and an equally good magician.".
