Description: This series consists of military correspondence from the service of Captain Edwin Thompson. The documents include a Last Will and Testament, an Authorization for Allotment of Pay, promotion papers, and special orders from throughout Thompson’s service. Orders are from Randolph Field, Texas; Pampa Army Air Field, Texas; Laughlin Army Air Field, Texas; Pierre Army Air Base, South Dakota; Peterson Field, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Syracuse Army Air Base, New York; Bergstrom Field, Austin, Texas; Baer Field, Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Dinjan, India.;Military correspondence, training documents, and a Flight Record from the service of Captain Edwin Thompson, who served as a C-46 pilot with the 2ND Troop Carrier Squadron, 443rd Troop Carrier Group, 10th Air Force in the China-Burma-India Theater. The collection is arranged into three series: I. Military correspondence, 1943-1945; II. Training documents, 1943-1945; and III. Flight Record, 1943-1945.
