Says V-E Day wasn’t much celebrated there, but she did drink captured cognac. Worries about being sent to the CBI or Army of Occupation. Landed at Liverpool a year before and made to land at Normandy on D+30, saw the Battle of St. Lo, and raced across France with Patton's Third Army. Entered Germany with Patch’s Seventh Army.
