Description: S 2/c George Durant, Naval Hospital Box 180 to Mr. Mariner "Non" Potts, 448 Esplanade, Pelham Manor, New York. Encourages Non, presumably his younger brother, to stay in college. George is resting from combat fatigue which, "as far as I know that is a state of nervousness and I don't know if I will go back to the [LST] 605 or not." Mentions visiting old Japanese pillboxes wherever he is, as well as an "eyeful" he got while on Okinawa.
