Julius comments on the lifting of censorship, his journey to Manila, a rest camp in New Guinea, patrol duty, his movements in the Pacific Theater, and the rescue of men stranded on Yap after the sinking of the Indianapolis, many of whom were in 'terrible shape' or 'temporarily insane... weak & dying of thirst & want of food'.
