- Summary:
- Description: Personal correspondence from Robert "Bobby" Mabson, New Orleans, Louisiana, to his father, Lieutenant Eugene Mabson. The correspondence series (42 pieces) consists of letters and cards sent between 1941 and 1946. Robert began writing the letters at the age of eight-years-old and was fourteen-years-old by the end of the correspondence. Many of the letters Robert sent focus on his progress at school and the radio program he listened to. There are several instances in which part of a letter was also written by Mrs. Eva Mabson, Robert's mother. Like his father's correspondence, Robert would occasionally include newspaper and periodical clippings in the letters he sent.
