- They are several thousand, each year, to leave Islam to join the Christian religion. These new converts sometimes pay dearly for their choice, faced with rejection from their family and their community, and sometimes even worse… Who are these men and women who choose this path? What are their motivations? How did this choice come about? Considering the current tensions generated by religious extremists of all stripes, how are they perceived by their community of origin? How are they greeted when they pass the door of a church? To go beyond the observation and understand the sociological aspect of the subject, this film goes to the Hauts de France region to meet those who have chosen to borrow this difficult path, but also witnesses and actors of their obstacle course: relatives and families of converts, imams, priests. More than a simple religious choice, these conversions represent a societal upheaval, through the cultural and community renunciation they generate.
