- Summary:
- It is interesting to note that at the origin of most of the great Christian works, there is “a spiritual couple” : Saint Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac, Saint François de Sales and Jeanne de Chantal, Saint Jean de la Croix and Saint Teresa of Avila, Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Clare and many others, less known. By immersing itself in parishes and communities, this film evokes – or reveals – for many viewers the existence of “great works”, carried out over the centuries, recent decades and even today by priests, nuns or “secular Christians”. It leads us to meet extraordinary personalities whom faith has transcended and who have left or will leave their mark. Famous or unknown, they have done or are doing miracles. All the more reason to put them in the spotlight ! Under what circumstances did God favor their meeting ? How did they manage to unite their forces, usually on a path where the obstacles seemed insurmountable ? What communities did they found ? Are we founding religious communities today ? So many questions and hundreds more to which specialists will answer. Archival footage and footage shot on location help make this film dedicated to “spiritual couples” an original program, both exciting and entertaining.
