- Summary:
- This thesis presents Dyssol a novel simulation framework for dynamicfl owsheet simulation of solids processes. Designed as a versatile, modular, and extensible tool, the system addresses the challenges of dynamicmodelling of complex process structures with interdependent unit operationsand recirculation fl ows. Particular attention is given to accuratelyrepresenting the multidimensional distributed properties of granular materials, such as particle size, porosity, and composition. Advanced numericalalgorithms ensure high computational performance and stability incalculations. The systems applicability and versatility are demonstratedthrough various case studies across diff erent application domains. Dyssolis released as open-source software, enabling its use in education, research, and industry. This work provides the community with a comprehensiveplatform for developing new models and methods, studyingtransient behaviour, and analysing and optimising various inter connectedsolids processes.
