This book is a study of political philosophy concerning the relationship between language and state. It argues that language gives origin to the state. Its main idea is that while humans communicate using language, they create and use media. Media extend the distance of communication. These media include humans themselves, materials, human behaviour and consciousness. Humans then interact on a large scale and form a large community. This leads to the dissolution of the tribe and the formation of the state. Then, people seek and provide information, give interpretations, display attitudes, and make promises in organizing the state. Some people also issue commands. They all act through the various types of linguistic communication. Language is also the key to realizing freedom, equality, peace, democracy and justice.
