The facsimile edition reproduces the Book of Kells for the first time in its entirety and in full color. Color transparencies were electronically analyzed using a laser scanner and the printing process involved the use of between 8 and 10 colors.
Commentary issued in slipcase. Facsimile bound in white goatskin, issued in black box with silver metal clasps.
Limited edition of 1480 copies.
Includes bibliographical references (commentary, pages 357-373) and indexes.
