The author is of the opinion that peace is universally desired but it is being realized now that mere desire for peace will not bring the same in this planet. Education is an effective means to bring peace culture in the mind and hearts of children. To educate future generation for peace culture it is essential to train our prospective teachers. National curriculum framework 2005 emphasizes the importance of peace education. Unesco is also considering peace education as an important area in teaching learning process. Currently national curriculum framework for teacher education 2009 has also emphasized the importance of peace education in teacher training programme. The present research work is an effective effort in this direction. The author believes that the teacher education institutes and their teacher educators will be benefited by the suggestions suggested in this area based on research findings.
