- Summary:
- In today's world, there is a wide gap between developed and developing countries in providing their citizens with the same level of educational opportunities. This problem needs solutions that can be fulfilled by startups and social entrepreneurs. Gurucool is an ed-tech startup that is working toward improving education standards in India while addressing the aforementioned gap. Gurucool has started a new way to work in the field through its missions. In August 2024, the ed-tech startup undertook its first mission, Mission 10,000, and shared its stories regularly through its Chief Executive Officer's social media handle with the username gurucoolwala. The aim of the mission was to enroll 10,000 students from rural India in the learning program offered by the startup in 30 days for free. Before the end of the deadline, Mr. Adil Meraj (Founder and CEO of Gurucool) and his team successfully enrolled more than 10,000 students in their learning program.
