Summary:
Julie Tobiansky, owner and manager of Merrypak, a packaging company, was preparing for a radio interview that was to take place in late July 2022. She was to speak about Merrypak's experience in employing persons with special needs. Since approximately 2009, Merrypak and its staff had been successfully employing workers with varying degrees of both physical and intellectual disabilities, and providing an inclusive workplace, where persons with special needs could thrive. She thought specifically about how she could use this interview to encourage other organisations to adopt a more inclusive attitude towards persons with disabilities and about the role that Merrypak could play in changing the broader, exclusionary perceptions about persons with disabilities.
