Summary:
This case explores the experiences of two female employees at Bamford Investment Management, an organisation that six years previously implemented a D&I strategy committed to raising levels of understanding and accountability for improving diversity in the workforce, with a particular focus on more female representation throughout the organisation, and a robust pipeline of women to senior level. Two colleagues that work at BIM are the subjects of the case, Dima and Katrina. Dima started working part-time after the birth of her child and feels anxious that her career has stalled. Katrina has begun doubting her future at BIM after being passed over for a promotion. Both are questioning their suitability within the industry and trying to find a way to get back on track within the organization.
