In this Data Challenge, students will be introduced to the objectives and challenges of entrepreneurship policy. In the initial task, students are required to interpret qualitative data, quantitative data, and diagrams and to draw conclusions around the impact of policy interventions on the economy and society. In the second task, students are required to critically analyze and evaluate additional data to reach sound recommendations. On completion, students will have a deeper understanding of some of the unintended consequences of government intervention in markets. To do well in this Data Challenge, students will need to understand both qualitative and quantitative data and think critically about how government policies affect the economy and society. They'll also need to communicate their findings clearly and consider ethical implications. Overall, this Data Challenge is about using basic analytical skills and economic knowledge to make thoughtful recommendations.
