Summary:

This bilingual Portuguese-English volume presents a photographic project by Bob Wolfenson created after a severe flood damaged his studio and much of his analog archive. The book gathers portraits of Brazilian personalities, fashion and calendar photographs, and backstage polaroids that were materially altered by water and mud and then recontextualized as new works. An introductory essay by architect and writer Guilherme Wisnik situates the images within broader discussions of environmental catastrophe, urbanization, and the climate emergency in contemporary Brazil.
