- Summary:
- Founded in 1994, the Eve Group (Eve) evolved from a fashion brand into a comprehensive corporation with businesses ranging from apparel and fashion, community-based tailor services, a digital garment ordering and production platform, an online platform of ethnic arts, handcrafters, and designers, a cultural product brand, cultural exhibitions, and cultural tourism. The first case, The Eve Group (A): Transforming the Traditional Apparel Industry through a Digitalized Platform, will be referred to as Case A in the following text. In Case A, the company's chairwoman, XIA Hua (Xia), resigned from her job as a university lecturer to start her venture. With a dream in her heart, she started in sales at the grassroots level of the apparel industry and then established her own men's wear brand, opened brand stores, and gained a foothold in the shopping malls. Despite opposition from most of her management team, she opened community stores, offering customized styling and tailor services to high-end clients. Under the dual business model of "product+ service," Eve created multiple fashion brands, including men's formal apparel and women's fashion brands, ready-to-wear labels and haute couture, and business and fashion. It also produced uniforms for large companies and groups. In the 2020s, Eve leveraged its own apparel business to transition into a vertically integrated apparel industry platform company, greatly enhancing the efficiency of the industry's supply chain.
