Summary:
This work elucidates Afro-Brazilian Decoloniality as an insurgent knowledge in the fight against the erasure and epistemicide suffered by Afro-diasporic civilizational values and their ancestral technologies, establishing the ethical, aesthetic, philosophical, and cultural apparatus that provides the foundation and paves the way. In this writing, Eduardo Miranda ritualizes and elucidates Afro-Brazilian Decoloniality in each chapter as a theoretical perspective that expands to all areas of knowledge. It is about Axé (spiritual energy), science, peripheral technology, ancestry, innovation, and disobedience to overcome colonial demands. In times of reworking strategies that still insist on trying to diminish the existences of historically subalternized bodies-territories, in Afro-Brazilian Decoloniality : Education for Difference, the epistemologies of the Odus (deities of the Afro-Brazilian religion Candomblé) are used to say that one does not dance an alujá (a type of Afro-Brazilian dance) in the comfort of one's chair; it is necessary to move, to be restless.
