Summary:
The present volume in French brings together four articles dealing with philosophical themes. The first of these studies the structural similarities between yoga and hesychasm and the historical problem of the probable influence of the former on the latter. The second article is devoted to the study of the doctrinal background of yoga, which is as essential to its nature as is its practice. The third, "Apophatisme et apavāda", studies negative ontology in Platonic and neo-Platonist Greece, in India and in the Christian West. The fourth examines the absolute -- whose determination is of extreme importance for the study and understanding of all philosophical systems -- in Buddhism, which has for a long time confused Western thinkers.
