Summary:

On the 29th, 30th and 31st of August 1996, the VI Regional-South Meeting of ABRAPSO (Brazilian Association of Social Psychology) took place in Florianópolis, at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, a meeting that had as its central theme: “ Psychology and Social Practices ”. Approximately 400 entries were made, 150 of which were presented in the various G.Ts. (Working Groups) or in poster format. These numbers, as well as the total number of articles (60) sent for analysis for the purpose of publication in this book, exceeded the expectations of the Organizing Committee, attesting to the credibility achieved by ABRAPSO in the context of contemporary Psychology.
