- A report on the National Archives. 60 MINUTES was granted rare months-long access to the Archives to explore the small federal agency tasked with preserving America's past. Discussed are the Trump and Biden document investigations and the importance of the maintenance and retention of presidential documents, the contents of restricted archival vaults, and a preview of the big change coming to the Archives' Rotunda: in 2026, the Emancipation Proclamation and Nineteenth Amendment will go on permanent display, in time for America's 250th birthday.
