Notes:
The author takes you to a burlesque show, and guides you through it. Deftly, he explains the fine points of an art now nearly vanished, pointing out the bald heads, the red faces, the pendulous jowls of the excited male audience. The story is a little sordid in spots, but that's burlesque for you!
