Summary:
The 1995 FTM Conference was the first international gender conference to focus on transgender men. It was produced by FTM International, a trans men's organization founded by Lou Sullivan and chaired at the time by Jamison Green. The collection is entirely composed of cassette tapes of the conference's sessions, which included such topics as relationships, long-term transition, spirituality, coming out, therapists, various medical topics, and intersectional questions (including the relationship between race and trans identity, and the alliance between trans men and trans women). Presenters and panelists include Steve Dain, Leslie Feinberg, Stephan Thorne, Susan Stryker, and Jamison Green. Transcripts have been provided whenever possible. When audio quality has been poor, transcriptions have not been created, but it is still possible to listen to the recordings.
Throughout Archives of Sexuality and Gender you will find language and terminology you might consider offensive. You will also find images that may be graphic or pornographic. MiFhGG
