Summary:
The Johannesburg based Gay Christian Community (GCC) provided a spiritual home for lesbian and gay Christians from 1982 - 2017. The GCC was founded by Dr. Hume Maxwell. The collection consists of GCC newsletters, service programs and other organisational material. Much of the earlier material is in both English and Afrikaans to serve the dual languages of the congregants. Although the GCC began in 1982, the earliest documents in the collection are dated from 1984.
