Summary:
Multiple regression is a statistical technique used to predict (or explain) variance in an interval or ratio level criterion variable with two or more predictor variables. This Sage Dataset will teach you how to run, interpret, and report a multiple regression in R using data from Study 2 in Madan et al. (2019). In this study, Madan et al. (2019) investigated the extent to which participants' support for resettling refugees could be predicted by their self-reported mind-set beliefs. Following a conceptual introduction to multiple regression, we will reproduce Madan and colleagues' (2019) analyses in R, interpret and report the results, and assess the extent to which they support the researchers' predictions. The dataset file is accompanied by a Teaching Guide, a Student Guide and How-to Guide.
