Summary:
D. Jean Clandinin and Michael Connelly (2000) introduced a narrative inquiry framework that posits temporality, sociality, and place as commonplaces to capture individual experiences. The objective of this Case Study is to investigate the potential of this framework to be expanded beyond its function as an inquiry tool by incorporating it into a teacher professional development process that employs a community blog as a platform. To investigate this, Malaysian English as a second language practitioners from varying backgrounds were invited to submit narratives of their technology-enhanced language teaching experiences in the classroom. In this Case Study, we focus on the potential of narrative inquiry as a tool for teachers' self-reflection. We begin by presenting the contextual background and important key terms in narrative inquiry, followed by explanations of the research design and the procedures implemented throughout the research. Ethical considerations as well as the challenges and limitations are also discussed. We conclude by sharing the practical lessons we learned throughout the research and recommendations for future research.
