Summary:
This Dataset has been chosen to demonstrate how to identify variable types and analyze data depending on the measurement used. This is an open-access teaching dataset with 26 variables. Although there are larger datasets that are used more often, this Dataset was chosen specifically to allow you to identify the types of data with which you are working. You will be shown both categorical and scale data and be required to identify whether the variables you are working with are nominal, ordinal, or scale. This Dataset should help you with other guides on the Sage website while teaching you the fundamental skill set of understanding different types of data and how measurement techniques might impact how you present data to an audience. The Dataset file is accompanied by a Student Guide and a How-to Guide for IBM® SPSS®.
