Summary:
The Dataset has been chosen to demonstrate how to bootstrap for multilinear regression using the 2019 British Social Attitudes Survey Teaching Dataset. This guide will introduce you to the concept of bootstrapping while applying multiple linear regression as the example and explain why we might bootstrap and what the underlying assumptions are. Although bootstrapping can be applied to many statistical tests and the principles are the same, we will apply it directly to multiple linear regression. This guide has been designed to introduce you to the concept of bootstrapping while applying multiple linear regression as an example. You will be introduced to how bootstrapping might be inappropriate when working with smaller datasets, why this is sometimes appropriate, and when it might not be appropriate. Following this guide, you should feel more comfortable with the concept of bootstrapping for other statistical tests. The Dataset file is accompanied by a Teaching Guide, a Student Guide, and How-to Guide.
